Getting started

Quick start

Two paths: launching a token, and getting paid as one of its recipients. Each step says what it costs and what happens on chain, so you can tell a slow network from a stuck launch.

Before you start

WhatValue
NetworkSolana mainnet
WalletsAny Solana wallet that supports Wallet Standard: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack
To launchEnough SOL for pump.fun’s account rent and the network fee, plus any first buy (up to 50 SOL)
To claimAn X account named on a token, and a Solana wallet address to be paid to
Our feeNone to launch. 20% of each sweep of creator fees, nothing else

Launching a token

1. Connect a wallet

Open the launch page and connect. The wallet you connect is the deployer: it signs and pays for the launch, and it receives the tokens of any first buy. It does not receive the creator fees. Those go to the token’s own creator address, described on Per-token vaults.

2. Fill in the token and the recipients

Name, ticker, description, image, optional links, and 1 to 6 X handles with a share each. Shares take up to two decimals and must add up to exactly 100%. Each handle is looked up on X when you continue, so you see the name and picture of the account you are about to pay. A handle that does not exist is refused before anything is signed, and so is one that was paid here before and now belongs to a different X account. If X cannot be asked who owns a handle that was paid here before, the page asks you to try again in a minute. The full rules are on Recipients & shares.

3. Sign the launch message

Your wallet shows a plain text message naming the token address, its creator address, your wallet and a hash of everything you entered. Signing it moves no money and grants no permission. It proves to the server that the metadata it is about to publish is the one you approved, so nobody can swap the picture or the recipients after you looked at them.

4. Review and sign the launch

The page builds the pump.fun create transaction in your browser, checks it against what you entered, and simulates it before asking for a signature. The review shows the total cost, the network fee, the first buy, the creator address and every recipient with their share. Only then does your wallet open.

What the wallet is signing
programs: pump.fun, Compute Budget, Associated Token Account only
create: name, ticker, metadata URI you approved
creator: this token's own derived address, not your wallet
buy: at most one, never above the SOL you entered
signers: your wallet and the new token's mint key, both in your browser

5. Share the token page

Once the transaction confirms, the server reads it back from the chain and checks it created this token with this creator address. Only then does the token appear on Explore and get a page of its own, which lists every recipient, what each has been credited, and links to the fee vault on Solscan. That page is the thing to send to the people you named.

If you close the tab after signing, the launch is not lost. The page keeps it for the rest of the browser session and finishes the confirmation when you come back to it. If you never come back, a scheduled job finds the token on chain within a few minutes and lists it anyway.

Getting paid as a recipient

1. Sign in with X

Open Claim and sign in with the X account that was named. We ask X only for the read access its sign-in requires: we cannot post, follow anyone or read your messages. The money is tied to your X user id, so it follows you through a rename.

2. See what is waiting

The page lists every token that names you, what each has credited you, what you have been paid, and your balance. The same figures are public at /x/<handle> without signing in. Balances never expire.

3. Claim, or set a routing

Paste a Solana wallet address and claim. A claim sends your whole balance, once it is at least 0.01 SOL, and the network fee is ours. Or set a routing once: Autopay sends your share to that wallet whenever it reaches 0.05 SOL, and Burn uses each new credit to buy the token it came from and burn it. See Routing.

Checking it yourself

Everything above is visible without trusting this site: the launch transaction, the token’s creator address and its vault on Solscan, every sweep and every payout by signature. The same records come out of the public API.
